Isophorone diisocyanate for short IPDI, chemical formula for C12H18N2O2, is an alicyclic diisocyanate. IPDI is one of the active diisocyanate products in common use. It has a stable reaction and is the curing agent of hydroxyl prepolymer (i.e., polypropylene glycol) required for polyurethane adhesive of composite propellant. Widely used in plastics, adhesives, spices and other industries.

 

Product Application

 

Polyurethane adhesives made from isophorone diisocyanate IPDI have optical stability and chemical resistance. Used for large vehicle coating and automotive repair paint. It can also be used as crosslinking agent for electrostatic spraying powder coatings and solvent based industrial coatings in the form of end isocyanate, especially in tank coating and coil coating. It can also be used to produce paint coatings, elastomers, special fibers, adhesives and so on.
