Product Description

Methyl-isobutyl ketone, 4-methyl-2-pentanone. Colorless liquid with pleasant odor. It's stable. Slightly soluble in water and most organic solvents. Steam forms an explosive mixture with air. With strong local irritation and toxicity. It is commonly used as solvent (for dissolving tetracycline, pyrethrin and DDT, as well as for oil dewaxing, etc.), inorganic salt separation agent, mineral dressing agent, binder, rubber glue, cloth paint and organic synthetic raw materials, etc. A developing solvent for PMMA in electron beam lithography.

Used as dye intermediates.Pesticide mites produced by o-chlorobenzaldehyde can control mites in dry crops and fruit trees.O-chlorobenzoxime can be converted into o-chlorobenzoxime, and o-chlorobenzoxime can be further chlorinated into o-chlorobenzoxime, both of which are intermediates of drugs.Solvents for nitrocellulose, resins, gums, etc.
