White flake crystalline solid, industrial product is white or light gray block or rod. Easily soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in ether. It has extremely strong alkaline and corrosive.
It is easy to absorb moisture from the air, Absorb carbon dioxide to make potassium carbonate. When dissolved in water, alcohol produces lots of heat.
Product Application
1. Used as raw material for washing soap, cream and shampoo.
2. Used as an analysis reagent, absorbing agent of carbon dioxide and water.
3. Used as a desiccant and absorbent to make oxalic acid and various potassium salts.
4. Used as catalyst for production of polyether, demulsifier, detergent, surfactant, etc.
5. As potash production of raw materials (such as potassium carbonate).
6. Used as alkaline agent, cocoa product hair color agent. It is also used in metallurgical heating agent and leather degreasing, etc.
7. Used in the manufacture of compound fertilizer and alkaline batteries, and also used in electroplating, engraving and lithography etc.
8. It is the main raw material of man-made fiber and polyester fiber, which is dyeing (reducing blue RSN, etc.), bleaching and mercerizing.
