Trichloroethylene (TCE), also known as ethylene trichloride, is a colorless and slightly sweet volatile liquid with strong dissolving ability. It dissolves in organic solvents rather than water. Usually under non-combustible conditions, because of its moderate boiling point, high steam pressure, strong stability, suitable for gas washing peration, in the industry for metal cleaning (degreasing thoroughly) and fiber grease removal.

1.Used in the manufacture of indigo and other dyes, the production of chloroacetic acid, is an important industrial solvent, used as metal detergent, dry cleaning agent, agricultural pesticides, etc
2. Used as incombustible solvent and analytical reagent for extraction solvent. Mainly used for coffee decaffeination, its maximum allowable residue in ground coffee products is 25mg/kg, 10mg/kg in instant coffee, and 30mg/kg in aromatic olivine.
3. Excellent solvent, used as metal surface treatment agent, electroplating, paint before cleaning agent, metal degreaser and fat, oil, paraffin extraction agent. Used for organic synthesis, pesticide production. Trichloroethylene is used to produce tetrachloroethylene which can be used as an insect repellent
4. Used for chemical cleaning, industrial degreasing, chemical raw materials used as non-combustible solvent, determination of iodine value, organic synthesis.
