Dimethylformamide (dmf) :Colorless, transparent liquid with smell of light ammonia, soluble in water and most organic solvents, commonly-used solvent for chemical reactions. Pure dimethyl formamide has no smell while technical level or degenerative has a fishlike smell, and it will
appear in layer after mixed with petroleum ether. Maybe burning if encounter flame or high temperature, and react violently with
concentrated sulfuric acid or nitric acid. Hazard label: 7 (combustible liquid).
Application Area
1. Used as pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediate of dye and fibre treatment agent, etc.
2. Used as dyeing auxiliary and preservative in fabric,also as emulgator, corrosion inhibitor and anticrustator, etc
3. Used as fuel oil additives , as a flocculant for the urban water purification field .
4. Used as the raw material of water soluble paint , and coating materials,etc
