1. Organic synthesis. Intermediate of dyes and p-aminosalicylic acid.
2. Used for the production of antioxidants, stabilizers, developers and color films. It is used in medicine as an antituberculous drug for p-amino-salicylic acid. It is used in the textile industry for printing and dyeing fur, and in the cosmetic industry for hair dye (as a matching dye).
3. Used as intermediate and photographic developer for mordant and alkaline dyes; Used as an intermediate for azo dyes.
4. Used in the manufacture of dyes, drugs and plastic curing agents.
