Chlorinated paraffin is a mixture of chlorinated derivatives of C10-C30 straight-chain alkanes with different carbon numbers undergoing free radical reaction withachlorine gas. Theachlorine content of general products is 40%-70%, and theachlorine content at room temperature is 40%- 52% are pale yellow viscous liquids; 54%-60% are viscous yellow semi-solids; 70% are brittle resinous solids. At room temperature, those with aachlorine content of 40% to 52% are light yellow viscous liquids; 54% to 60% are viscous yellow semi-solids; and 70% are brittle resinous solids
