Sorbitol, also known as sorbitol, hexanol, D-sorbitol, is a non-volatile polysugar alcohol, stable chemical properties, not easy to be oxidized by air, widely distributed in natural plant fruits, not easy to be fermented by various microorganisms, good heat resistance, high temperature (200ºC) does not decompose, saturated aqueous PH value is 6 ~ 7. It is isomer with mannitol, tyrol and galactotol, and has a cool sweetness, with a sweetness of 65% of sucrose and a very low calorific value.
